About the Patient Participation Group
Patient Participation Groups (PPGs), are being set up in GP surgeries across the UK to encourage patients to participate in the decisions taken on the services provided by your Practice.
We feel that all patients who are registered to the practice have a valid opinion on how the practice works and to this aim we feel all patients are members of the Patient Participation Group.
When planning organisational changes which will have a direct affect on patient access/care we notify patients of those changes via our website and have/will invite patients to attend a community event for these changes to be discussed. Patients can use our website to comment on these proposals.

Welcome & Introductions
Face to face session – thanking participants for waiting/ sparing the time to join PPG.
Aims and Objective of our PPG
- New online triaging service (Klinik).

Online Access - KLINIK
- KM reintroduced the new online consultation platform. KLINIK. KM asking for any feedback from patients relating to this.
- Informed avg number of requests received per day. Uptake trends etc.
- How we can improve the use of this + how to encourage. Informed if any difficulty using this, admin will be able to complete on behalf of patients.
- Requests mostly go directly to the GP depending on what pathway chosen. These are typically dealt with during the same day. Patients will be informed of outcome typically within same day, if not possible to address in the same day, will be on the next working date at latest.
Changes to our practice team
- KM informed of current staffing situation. Big changes to the team.
- 2 new GPs starting Dr KJ & Dr GF. Days working + locations provided.
- Dr CH + SR are now bac k from Mat Leaves.
- Informed each GP has a triaging GP Day and may not have F2F clinics.
- New Pharmacist – Fisayo.
- New Reception Lead + New Receptionist.
- Currently in training - and will be empowered as time goes along
NHS App Usage
- NHS App usage discussed. KM informed team that we will be signposting patients to NHS where possible. Services available on NHS app have been informed.
- Patients are aware of what can be done via NHSAPP i.e. accessing health records, requesting medication, accessing records for children/dependant family members.
- Informed our uptake is still relatively low – and we will be providing with materials to encourage patient usage.
- BB kindly informed us that there is a service in Croydon which teaches people how to register and use the NHS app.
- KM to find out more and encourage our patients to join.

- The practice team is extremely grateful for the patient attendance and feedback. We hope to have them return in our next meeting to ensure we are providing a good standard of healthcare.
- AOB – No questions were raised.
- The patients are aware of Dilantha and Khalid, and we are open to any suggestions in either written or verbal format. This can also be discussed in our next PPG
